There is Still Hope!

Unfortunately, I have not recieved any news or updates on another Series Director. I am sorry to advise that this site will go down in a couple of weeks. I am saddened by the turn of events. This was the year we turned heads with a new "driver" series. I hope that one day, the sportsman class can get the recognition it deserves.

Series Director Resigns

Regretfully the Florida Sportsman Challenge Series has been suspended due to the resignation of Series founder Bill Chapman. Bill has fallen upon ill health and cannot continue as Series Director due to the dire nature of his illness. Hopefully Bill can recover from his illness that has caused him to resign. Currently there is no one to take his place as Series Director, as everyone else associated with the Series is a competitor and assuming that role would constitute a conflict of interest. We are actively seeking a replacement for Bill as Series Director, but at this time we do not have a replacement. Due to these circumstances we unfortunately are forced to suspend the Series. If a Series Director is found in a timely manner then we will resume the Series at a later date. Everyone at the Florida Sportsman Challenge Series would like to thank every competitor for the tremendous support that the Series has received. We would also like to thank the management at DeSoto Super Speedway, Bronson Motor Speedway, Citrus County Speedway and Sunshine Speedway for believing in this Series and the Sportsman competitors.

Welcome to the New Florida Sportsman Challenge Website

After a lengthy down time, SportsmanChallenge.com is better then ever. With all look and feel. I was looking for more softer approach when viewing the Series website. I have also incuded a forum, in this layout, letting those members voice their ideas and opinions about this series.

Also, I believe that a stock car racing website should have lots of pictures and videos. So, if you have any pictures you would like to see on this site, please feel free to send them by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
